I am working on the wordpress template. Please suggest me changes. I am using sidebar widget to control sidebar. I will using new plugins. I need to clean up the code once again.

Power of HeCom Tools and concept

This post is about how smallest tool can empower the COMMUNITY POWER. The right platforms and strategies can help you create useful social epidemics.

Overall summary
One member wrote + another member used HeCom tool + 0% Hedir involvement = xx,xxx additional visitors (WHAT A POWER!)

I am glad that things happen on its own and to understand life the only requirement is observations and trails. Here is what I have learned from HeCom (Hedir Community) tools and concepts yesterday.

Scene 1: PCBGuy posted in forums and Jackie commented
One of our newest members PCBGuy added a thread “Find out who gives away your email address with Gmail trick” and another member Jackie commented on it. I commented and blogged about it. Few other members also contributed their ideas.

Scene 2: Jackie used Web 2.0 Bookmarking tool to share
Somewhere along the line Jackie (a community member) decided to use the Web 2.0 Bookmarking tool (which is integrated with Hedir forums). Jackie submitted the thread to Digg, Reddit and some more social bookmarking sites.

Scene 3: We saw few guests posting there
I saw that one thread (created by PCBGuy, mentioned above) was getting some guest postings. I checked the IPs to ensure that things are fine. It started growing and I could see the total number of users online also have grown up. I decided to check the analytics and saw thousands of extra visits. It had grown from few thousands to many thousands. We got some xx,xxx (huge number) extra visitors on a single day (and it is not over yet, few more hours to go).

Overall summary

Things to consider

Guest posting work – It should be made available. If blogs can have a comment spam controller why can’t HeCom have one? A combination of 2 filters (guests no url + community based spam filtering) can help forum communities to have it.
Right tools are essential – Community member needs additional tools to spread the virus. Web 2.0 Bookmarking is a helping hand for social networking segment. We are developing other platforms and tools as well.
Community members should be made aware of the true power of community.

What all wordpress plugins do you recommend?

I am planning to do some serious blogging for Hedir. And my last post was also a serious question “Should I remove my first blog comment by Mr Wordpress?”. Josh (our official Hedir developer) thought it is funny but I was serious of contacting him :).

In this journey I have decided to add some more plugins. What all wordpress plugins do you recommend for this official Hedir blog? I have gone through few of the plugins and have selected a dozen for this new official blog. I will post it but will like to know your opinion about it. Also I am planning to run it as a multi author blog. If you are interested please let me know I will add you to this blog as an author. Someone just said that 1+1=11.

Please suggest me some cool wordpress plugins. Thanks

Should I remove my first blog comment by Mr Wordpress?

My First blog comment is from Mr Wordpress, the person in charge of this amazing application. I like wordpress and its features so I wonder whether I should delete my first comment (which comes with the installation)?

I would like to know your opinion about it with some crazy explanation.

My opinion
Let’s not do it till we ask Mr Wordpress himself. So I am going to search for him. I just did a search on google images for Mr Wordpress. Then I searched in Google and found http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/story/0,,1939065,00.html and his name Matt Mullenweg.

Then again I did a search for Matt Mullenweg in Google images and I got him. So here is Mr Wordpress,

I repeat my question, should I delete my first blog comment by Mr Wordpress? Your comments will help me get more comments :). Please suggest me some good plugins.
